OpenAGI Research Foundation

Open Source Community & Developer Relations Lead

100% San Francisco–based ( ~20% flexible travel)

About OpenAGI

OpenAGI is building the world’s first open-source lab for “computer use” — reimagining how humans interact with machines in the Fourth Age of Computing. Our mission is to empower developers to create new forms of computer use with intuitive SDKs, UX templates, and agent frameworks that let anyone build powerful use cases in minutes.

We believe community is the product: by gathering top researchers, product-oriented builders, and computer-use enthusiasts into a selective early ecosystem, we will define what “computer use” means in the AI era.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Community & Developer Relations Lead who will be the front-facing voice and personality of OpenAGI. You will own the strategy and execution of community building, ensure the developer experience feels magical, and grow a syndicate of early evangelists around the topic of computer use.

This is not a “marketing role” — this is a movement-building role. You’ll set the tone, flavor, and culture of the OpenAGI community from day one.

Responsibilities

Community Strategy & Evangelism

  • Define and execute the community-building strategy for OpenAGI, with an emphasis on selective, high-quality early participants.

  • Be the public face of OpenAGI’s community — representing us at hackathons, demo nights, academic/industry meetups, and on social channels.

  • Shape the cultural DNA of OpenAGI’s community: transparent, developer-first, experimental, and taste-driven.

Developer Relations

  • Partner with engineering team to ensure SDKs, UX templates, and agent frameworks are intuitive — “5 minutes to first computer-use app.”

  • Build feedback loops between community and product: collect input from early adopters, researchers, and tinkerers → translate into roadmap insights.
