About OpenAGI

OpenAGI is building the world’s first open-source lab for “computer use” — reimagining how humans interact with machines in the Fourth Age of Computing. Our mission is to empower developers to create new forms of computer use with intuitive SDKs, UX templates, and agent frameworks that let anyone build powerful use cases in minutes.

We believe community is the product: by gathering top researchers, product-oriented builders, and computer-use enthusiasts into a selective early ecosystem, we will define what “computer use” means in the AI era.

Role Overview

We are seeking talented AI Agent Backend / Research Engineers with strong Python expertise to join our team in building the infrastructure that powers next-generation AI agents. You will work on scalable systems that serve millions of users and handle massive computational workloads for our agentic foundation models.

Tasks

  • You will join our core engineering team, responsible for backend development of AI Agent products.

  • You will help build our open-source community and ecosystem around the models and products.

  • You will work with top researchers, optimizing model evaluation frameworks from the engineering side, building data flywheels, and improving model performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience, good English reading / writing skills

  • Familiar with Python backend & SDK development; frontend experience is a plus

  • Highly self-driven, with ownership mindset—aiming not just to complete tasks, but to do them well
